For a safe and sustainable chalk coast experience, the city of Sassnitz is building a new floating and barrier-free viewing platform above the Königsstuhl, Germany's highest chalk cliff.
At Ostseestaal GmbH & Co KG in Stralsund, the first steel was cut on 30 September 2021 for what is currently one of the most spectacular construction projects in the region. The new viewing platform "Königsweg" on the most famous chalk cliff on the island of Rügen, the Königsstuhl. The Stralsund-based specialist company has been commissioned by flz Stahl- und Metallbau Lauterbach GmbH to manufacture essential parts of the steel structure.
